- The competition is open to media companies from any country
that operate Internet services on the World Wide Web. In addition, one category
of the competition is open to College Newspapers that offer an affiliated
Internet service.
- Entries must be submitted via the EPpy Awards e-commerce entry
application.
Editor & Publisher reserve the exclusive right
to extend the entry deadline. Entries received after the entry
deadline will not be accepted.
- There is a $150 charge for each and every entry
into the competition, except in the College Newspaper category, where the
entry fee is $50.
- Entries must be submitted via the contest Web Entry Form.
Paper and e-mail entries will not be accepted.
- Eligible entries must have been available on the Internet
during the period of January 1, 2009 until February 1, 2010.
- Judging of the entries will take place from April to May, 2010. If an entry is not available to the public during that
period, but is eligible because it was offered during the eligibility period,
it is the responsibility of the entrant to make the site available through
a Web link for the judges. The judges will be chosen among industry experts
by the management of Editor & Publisher. All judging will
occur on the Internet, and the decision of the judges is final.
Winners of the awards will be publicly recognized at an awards ceremony at the
Interactive Media Conference and Trade Show on Thursday, June 17th, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Winners will receive a plaque recognizing their achievement
and will be included in press releases and publicity about the awards, as produced by
Editor & Publisher.
